About

Our Current Programme

The Star Project Canada is proud to launch Grandview Star Project, a weekly musical theatre programme for young performers in the South Surrey community.

Classes take place every Thursday at Emmanuel Church, South Surrey, offering professional, high-quality musical theatre training in a warm and supportive environment.

Class Times

  • Ages 6–8: 3:45 – 4:45pm
  • Ages 9–12: 4:45 – 5:45pm

Over a 12-week term, students work towards a Matilda the Musical–inspired performance, developing skills in singing, dancing, and acting while building confidence, creativity, and performance technique.

The programme is carefully structured to be age-appropriate and inspiring, with an emphasis on personal growth, collaboration, and artistic bravery — not just the final performance.

Who We Are

The Star Project Theatre is an established musical theatre training programme founded in 2006.

From the beginning, The Star Project has been built on the belief that musical theatre is a powerful tool for developing confidence, self-belief, creativity, and expressive freedom in young people. While performance excellence is central to our work, equal importance is placed on creating a nurturing, inclusive, and joyful learning environment.

Originally founded in the UK, The Star Project quickly gained a reputation for its high standards, thoughtful training, and supportive ethos. The programme continues to operate internationally, with strong creative continuity between the UK and Canada.

Our Approach

At The Star Project Theatre, children are encouraged to explore singing, dancing, and acting in a way that celebrates individuality and curiosity. Our classes are designed to help children feel safe to take creative risks, express themselves confidently, and grow both on and off the stage.

We believe that musical theatre is not just about performance — it is about finding your voice, building resilience, and standing proudly in your own spotlight.

Leadership & Teaching Team

The Star Project Theatre is led by an experienced artistic director and supported by a carefully selected team of skilled theatre practitioners. All teachers share a commitment to high-quality training, child-centred teaching, and creating a positive, inspiring environment for young performers.
